SUMMARY
Background: A cat god named Mayu has been stripped of her rank and powers and banished from Takamagahara to live on Earth for illegal gambling. She ends up living in an antique shop, Yaoyorozudou, together with a girl called Yuzu. The story revolves around the many antics the two get up to as they meet with various other gods and creatures from Japanese mythology.
Yuzu suggests to partake in flower viewing (hanami), so Gonta, who still has a crush on Yuzu, vows to find the most superb spot for cherry blossom-watching. But where is he to find an empty place on such a nice Sunday? Shirasaki Hasumi remembers a blooming cherry tree in the yard of an abandoned hospital... if only that tree was not possessed by mischievous ghost-girl.
